Bringing your team to Mountain Valley Meeting & Retreat Center? We offer customized team building and off-site adventures to build employee engagement and an improved sense of community within your organization. Contact us to build a program driven by the needs of your team, group, or organization. 

If you are looking to add adventure to your groups’ visit to Mountain Valley, we’ve got you covered! We are happy to coordinate a half or whole day canoe trip on the beautiful Shenandoah River, a day hike within the George Washington National Forest or Shenandoah National Park, or an equestrian experience at Camp Horizons, our sister property!

Is your team newly formed or have recent additions?

  • Learn more about each other and begin to build relationships as our skilled facilitators lead the group through a series of get-to-know-you games and activities.
  • The team will build cohesion and commitment as they embark on activities and challenges that require communication and shared objectives.
  • Example activities include: Name Game, Rock Paper Scissors Rockstar, Rope Circles, Marble Tubes, All Aboard, Alpine Skis, Whale Watch

Is your team established, yet in need of a burst of energy?

  • When team members accomplish tasks together that they do not imagine themselves capable of completing, the entire group becomes empowered to push their boundaries. With a strong foundation, teams can travel to new heights and excel on our high ropes courses.
  • Example activities include: Birthday Lineup, Key Punch, Giant’s Thumb, Toxic Waste, Giant Swing, Massanutten Bornack High Ropes Course

Do you have a team in transition?

  • With a focus on leadership, team development, or both, activities foster individual and team growth as the group faces and overcomes a progression of challenges. Designed to develop (or rebuild) trust and support within the group, as well as identify and understand the value of each member, this programming is focused on growth rooted in challenge.
